Pentecost Celebration June 7-8

Pentecost is a day to celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the Birthday of the Church.  Pentecost will be celebrated at June 7-8 Salem worship services.

Congregation members are encouraged to wear red clothing, the color of the day, and bring red geraniums or bedding plants to decorate the sanctuary.  The flowers will then be planted on the grounds.  Please add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Welcome Center if you can bring bedding plants.

We're also inviting readers to share Acts 2:1-21 in several languages to give the impression of what it was like the Day of Pentecost when people began speaking in various tongues.  If you can read in another language and would like to participate, please sign up at the Welcome Center table for one or more services.  If you need the scripture translation provided, please indicate that as well.

Thank you!
